Dust Cares Only for Dust.

A flirtatious little book of a peculiar size and weight, a sharp and dextrous pile of rhymes and chameleous music that turns its back to lure you in at the slightest suspicion of lost interest, each individual compositional take on circular rotation so seductive you can almost taste the purple. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve put it down because I was initially hoping for something a little more readable, a bit more packaged and a lot less singable. But, all disappointments -- surprises, spins -- aside, a comparison to his last book isn’t even relevant, and I All-ways pick it back up, if Only to find its weight strangely unsatisfying. I've spent so much time in the House that things’ve nearly become as the old man warned: I’d remain for days therein fixated on shadows, staring into the blackness, waiting for something to shift within that perpetual non-shimmer of ash and roots. I might have then tried to find a sky so full of stars that it would once again blind me and give me reassurance that the world is greater than what is seen. Only Revolutions is something, but I think I wanted that sky and those stars.
